In a short amount of time we have already proved to hit a mark with Independent Publishers and small publishing houses providing skilled and experienced services.

Dean Cook has worked extensively on magazines, publications and a wide variety of printed matter since 1990. He has worked closely with Suzuki GB, Suzuki MotoGP team, Virgin Atlantic, Xerox and American Express as well as a host of independent and publishing companies.

In November 2003 he established Dean Cook Productions with the aim of providing a focused design, production and print solution for independent publishers whilst taking into account the tight budgets which is prevalent with Independent Publishers of today. The continued growth over the last few years now sees The Magazine Production Company.

The business is growing and so too are the staff with three recent additions. Carolyne Griffin, who has over 16 years dedicated experience in the field of publishing; Toni Barrington, who has been in the creative industry for over 12 years; and Stephanie Biddle, who has a degree in Media Communications and 14 years experience in design, print, project management, writing and training. Stephanie joins us to head the US arm of the company.

The business mainly caters for publishers who cannot justify employing a full-time designer, production personnel or who have found it difficult to find to locate good freelance designers with key commercial printing skills.

The other side of the company is to provide overflow services for printing companies to free up their bottlenecks where in-house staff is already pushed with existing work.

Having a hands-on approach in all areas of design and production allows us to streamline the services to a very efficient level. This is reflected in the highly competitive page rate the business offers.

The solution has been developed over time with the publisher, editor and advertising sales person in mind which ensures communication is at a paramount level.

The pricing is straight forward – a simple page rate (minimum 32pp). This allows you to budget ahead with confidence before work commences.
